Scienscope International (www.scienscope.com) announced that it has been awarded a 2017 EM Asia Innovation Award in the category of Test & Measurement/Inspection Systems – Auxiliary for its AXC-800 Automatic X-ray Inspection Component Counter. The award was presented to the company during an April 26, 2016, ceremony at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center during NEPCON China.
The AXC-800 is a small format, tabletop X-ray system (table included) for counting component reels. It can be used with barcode reading and label printing in order to manage and track inventory with 100% confidence. Data also can be transferred directly to inventory management systems and various types of factory control software.
The AXC-800 is designed for the inspection of components on traditional reels, from 01005 to odd form devices. However, this machine goes beyond standard inspection of components in 7”, 13” and 15” reels. It also has the ability to inspect components in JEDEC trays (including BGA ball counting), ESD storage bags, storage tubes, or just about any form by using simplified algorithms built into the system for all types of components. If your component does not exist, you can add it using the user friendly GUI.
The AXC-800 is part of a growing family of X-ray component counters from Scienscope which include the AXI-5100c fully automated inline counter, and the AXI-5600c inline counter specifically designed for continuous flow of 7” reels.
